Saranno nuovamente tre gli appuntamenti internazionali che la Cycling Sport Promotion organizzerà nel 2016. Lo ha stabilito L’Unione Ciclistica Internazionale pubblicando il calendario della prossima stagione agonistica:
“L’UCI ha riconosciuto il valore degli eventi organizzati dalla Cycling Sport Promotion – ha commentato il presidente Mario Minervino – così nel 2016 potremo regalare alla provincia di Varese tre gare di altissimo livello: il trofeo Binda femminile, il trofeo Da Moreno per donne junior e il trofeo Almar – Coppa delle Nazioni per corridori under 23. Rispetto alle date di quest’anno ci sono però delle novità. Le due gare femminili si disputeranno una settimana prima, cioè domenica 20 marzo, il giorno dopo la Milano-Sanremo. Crediamo nel ciclismo femminile ed abbiamo accettato di anticipare il nostro tradizionale appuntamento per consentire alla Gent Wevelgem femminile di avere il massimo riscontro mediatico perché si svolgerà lo stesso giorno della gara maschile. Inoltre abbiamo ottenuto di spostare in avanti la Coppa delle Nazioni U23 ed evitare la concomitanza con il Tour de France”
Da domani, nuovo calendario alla mano, la Cycling Sport Promotion si rimetterà al lavoro per allestire al meglio il nuovo bouquet di emozioni a pedali firmate da Mario Minervino ed i suoi inarrivabili collaboratori. (Foto F. Ossola)

– 20 MARZO: Trofeo Da Moreno – Piccolo Trofeo Alfredo Binda– classe Women’s – 1.1 WJ
– 31 LUGLIO: Coppa dei Laghi – Trofeo Almar – Coppa delle Nazioni U23
Cycling Sport Promotion will organise three international events again in 2016, as established by the International Cycling Union (UCI) with the publication of their calendar of athletic events for the upcoming season.
“The UCI has acknowledged the value of the events organised by Cycling Sport Promotion – commented president, Mario Minervino – in 2016 we will once again regale the province of Varese with three top level races: the Trofeo Binda for women, the Trofeo Da Moreno for junior women and the Trofeo Almar – Nation’s Cup for riders under 23. However, there are some changes regarding the dates for next year. The two women’s races will be held a week earlier, on Sunday 20 March, the day after the Milano-San Remo. We believe in women’s cycling and we agreed to bring our traditional date forward to allow the Gent Wevelgem women’s race to enjoy maximum media coverage as it will take place on the same day as the men’s race. We were also able to move the U23 Nation’s Cup forward so as to avoid a clash with the Tour de France”.
From tomorrow, with the new calendar on hand, Cycling Sport Promotion, Mario Minervino and his outstanding team will start working to set up this new bouquet of events on two wheels. (Photo F. Ossola)
